Website Design

For my final project I decided to cover a non-profit organization. I chose Dancers Give Back because my close personal friend runs and organizes it. It was started when a girl we went to college with got diagnosed with Leukemia. My friend decided to do these dance fundraiser events called Dancers Give Back to help raise money for the "Jacquie For A.L.L. Foundation" which gives money for Cancer and Leukemia research.

E-Card

The goal of my e-card is to spread how recycling can help reduce the damage we do to the environment. I tried to do this by setting the stage on the front page with the dark steps fading away and the dark text turning into the middle page with the green bright text and universal recycling symbol.

Book Cover Design

This is the front cover.

Next is the spine and then the back cover.
When making this I wanted to show the fun playful side of this group with the colors and also the shifting from dark to light I believe shows how the have emerged from the underground to become one of the most iconic names in not just the dance music scene but the music world as a whole.

Project 1 w/professor suggested corrections

As per the suggestion by the professor I used the "levels" tool to darken the text which had been greyed out a bit with the original corrections. I do like how it made the entire picture more lively by strengthening the color as well as adding more definition to the background.

Project 1: Album Cover

This is the final album cover I came up with. I changed and added a few things from my rough sketch. Made my background black and white which allowed me to place the french flag over everything. Rather than go for show I wanted to go for a more soft look for my cover this is because I feel like adding to many crazy filters would take away from the architecture of the Louvre. Either way I hope you enjoy the work I've done.

First very rough "sketch"

This is a rough "sketch" for my first project. Now that we have access to all of Lynda.com it will hopefully allow me to produce a more interesting finished product.

I chose to attempt to make an album cover. I went to Paris several
years ago and figured I might try to use a picture from that trip along with other elements.

Work space hope

Hello all,
I'm very excited for this course. By the end of this I hope to have this blog filled up with many different works and that I'll be able to grasp a real understanding of Photoshop. Good luck to all in this course.
